Monte Bonito is a village located in Marulanda, Caldas, between the canyons of the Central mountain range, just two hours away from Manizales City, capital of the Caldas Department. It has about 600 inhabitants and its economy is based on coffee. The Manizales Cooperative has worked to make the local economy turn around agricultural activities. The cultivation of coffee and some vegetables stand out fundamentally, another important sector within the economic development of Monte Bonito is cattle. Upon tasting you can expect notes of blackberry sweetness with floral aromatics, and a finish of orange bitters.
